CLS expands APAC team

CLS has hired Margaret Law as head of client management, Asia Pacific (APAC).

In her new role, Law will be responsible for growing the client base across the region, as well as the adoption of CLS’s portfolio of products and services, focusing on three business lines: settlement, processing, and data.

Based in Hong Kong, Law will report to Joe Ziccarelli, global head of sales.

Law joins CLS from Northern Trust where she served as head of client services and was responsible for managing the local sales team and expanding client relationships across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.

Prior to this, Law held sales leadership roles across a range of asset classes and different banks, including Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, HSBC, Citibank, and The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.

Commenting on the appointment, Ziccarelli said: "Margaret Law's experience in senior roles in the region makes her a perfect candidate for the role at CLS. She has a deep knowledge of the Foreign Exchange industry, as well as long-standing relationships with senior executives across the buy-side in the region.”

He added: “We are looking forward to Law continuing to drive our market penetration in the APAC region."
